Ian is the most successful adventure racer of all time, with 7 World Championship wins, 22 World Championship podium finishes, 40 adventure race titles and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the ESPN X Games. He is a three-time world record holder for endurance kayaking (262 miles in 24 hours) and was named Men’s Journal adventure athlete of the year in 2006. Since retiring in 2007, Ian has been known to break out his shoes for “short” races every now and again, and was the fastest masters runner at the 2010 Badwater 135-mileultramarathon “Challenge of the Champions.”
