Vote for Crowie!

Crowie Wins Kona 2009

Newton pro Craig Alexander has been chosen as one of the 12 finalists for “Male Athlete of the Year” by the United States Sports Academy. Crowie had a masterful triathlon season, capped off by a repeat victory at the Ironman World Championships. With his win in Kona, Crowie became just the fourth man in history to win back-to-back Ironman titles.

We think Crowie is a shoe-in to win but he’s up against some other athletes you might have heard of, guys with names like Kobe, LeBron, Usain, Manny, Roger and Tiger. It’s a public voting process so in the immortal words of Al Capone, “vote early and vote often!” Vote here.

The winners will be announced on NBC Sports and USA Today (not sure if there’s a prize) but please vote for Craig. He’s one of the nicest and hardest working guys in all of sport and he absolutely deserves this honor! Tell your friends!
