Love My Boco Sol running shoes
I have wide feet and these shoes fit my feet really good. I'm a heavy guy and wearing these shoes I've found that my knees don't bother me as much. My next pair of shoes will be another pair of Newtons. I run a lot of trail races and this is my new race shoe.

Overall, the shoe is good for lower mileage (training), but I wouldn't rely on this as a long distance shoe. I have Boco AT's and was looking for something with a lighter/breathable upper for warmer climates. This shoe hits the mark in that regard, but was less impressive in terms of providing similar cushion and support of the Boco AT (or at least in my opinion). My feet really felt it after 20+ mile runs....

Running effortlessly
When in the rhythm and utilizing the shoes properly, I run with no effort and greater speed. This is my second pair of newton's. I have no knee injuries or shin splints. They are superb for me.

Great lightweight trail running shoes
Switched from a Salomon XA Pro 3D and it was like switching from driving a huge SUV to a small sports car! These shoes are very light on the foot and make it a lot easier to get the feet up and over or around obstacles as you choose your foot placement on descents and other technical sections. I run a lot of rocky and rooty singletrack and these are really wonderful in that environment. They also breath well, so my feet don't get hot and sweaty - a problem that in other shoes would leave to blisters after 5 miles or so. Great shoes and highly recommended!

I've been quite happy with my new Newton's! They have the same general feel as my other pairs but have been very consistent and comfortable
I've been quite happy with the new Boco Sol's! I've run several races in them already

Awesome!
The grip on these shoes are amazing, traction is 10 out of 10 for sure! While there is a considerable amount of rubber on these shoes, surprisingly they still feel lightweight.

Getting back into trails
My go to shoe in any weather that ice is my distances. I had Terra's for a few trail races and it seems these are the newest trail show. First of all these are not light, the do fit slightly tighter than my distances and snug would be appropriate for them, I could probably have gone 1/2 size up from the distances but then I think I would have been moving around too much. 1sm impressions on the street is they are super warm, good socks make this not a problem but my feet were warmer. My 15k pace is usually a modest 4:30 and these were comfortable at 4:45 on the same distance, the wear rate is non existent, I run the distances for 9 months and in no lightweight, usually putting 30km in 2 runs a week on my 210 lbs frame. I think the weight on the SOL makes my leg speed slower. I did feel slightly fatigued on the last 5 k but I also took them on the river pathway. It was a limited test of their trail ability but on the grassy path they held the ground especially compared to my ice skate distances. There is a lot of grip to be had and my weight certainly helps, I'm not ready to surrender these to a tough mudder (where I waived good bye to my Terra's) but I nay venture to try the 50k sulphur springs once I get more confident over longer distances in them. Overall a solid performing shoe, snug fitting in comparison to the race shoes possibly dut to the rigidity of the top layer (I always preferred my 1st edition distances for the fit over all the new shoes). I'm treating this as an all round running show which it's perfect for, treadmill and path alike, but my 3/4 yearly order of distances will not stop. I'm giving them a solid 4 only because nothing beats the feeling of a lightweight ultra breathable shoe, which these don't pretend to be, they are however seeming to be most durable and able to take on most surfaces, but I'm not a great trail runner. I used saucony razors for a long time but my feet needed to cool down, once it snows I may venture a run or two in these and see how they compare, but for now I'm loving them for everything I need them for.

Amazing!
While training for Disney's Dopey, I developed a Neuroma: running was very painful. I didn't think I was going to be able to run it this year. A shoe, wider in the toe area was suggested. i tried a pair of Newtons that I bought for a onetime trail run. They got me through the Dopey and the Miami Half Marathon. My next pair of running shoes will be Newtons! I am a GRATEFUL Fan !
