Best Gravity yet, favorite shoe ever!
Been a Gravity wearer since the first version, the shoe that changed my life, or rather changed my running style and kept me running! Four versions (5 pairs, including two pairs of the originals) later, and, wow, this is the sweet spot! The ride is still that Gravity blend of just the right cushioning and responsiveness that makes you feel they are just part of your body. The new stiffer tongue, attached to the shoe with elastic straps now, makes the whole shoe seem more stable. And yes, I'm now comfortable with Newton color schemes. I just remind myself that I used to wear those green and yellow Adidas in the 70's and thought they were way cool!

Men's Gravity V
Phenomenal shoe. Newton thought of everything here. If you are looking for a lightweight shoe that you can also get higher milage runs out of, this is your shoe. When training for an Ironman or marathon I do a lot of intervals during my long run. This is the shoe I do it in. Very happy with the shoe! #BSR

Best version thus far
I've run in the Gravity since 2012. I liked the first 5 lug version, hated the 2015 model (felt too hard), but LOVE this model. The lugs and heel action/reaction just feel nice and cushy, yet still responsive. I like the color too! I do feel a different, more full foot cushion vs the lugs and only heel. I run in Altras and even a Saucony (I just still love a high cushioned traditional shoe for just fun slow runs), but this is my all time go to shoe! I don't know what I'd want different in this shoe?!?!

My 6th pair
I hate reviews when the reviewer tells you how great the product is and they just ordered it. I have been wearing Newtons almost since the inception and that's all I have worn. I used to be a Brooks runner. I'm naturally a mid-foot striker and when these came out, I couldn't get a pair fast enough. They fit my foot perfectly. They are so light, I hardly know they are on. I gotta say, I'm not much for all the colors. I've had orange, blue with red, and now green. The green so far are my favorite. I'm 6' 4" and 210 lbs and I don't wear these out as fast as I did my Brooks. I usually run 5 and 10 Ks but have run a half marathon in them and they weigh so little, it's like not having shoes on but my feet get great support.

summary of newton gravity V shoes
The first thing that grabs you with these shoes is the colour and its a good thing. You stand out from the crowd and they fit like a glove, moulding to your feet.

At first when you put them on the floor feels weird as they have these lugs on the soles of shoes but you soon get used to it and they propel you forward when running.

Initally I did a few parkruns in them and I am a pacer for runforall so I ran the Lincoln 10km in them and then a 5mile road race in them too. I can say these shoes are very comfortable, responsive, light and durable.

You need to be aware when running in these shoes of the heel to toe drop. Its a great deal lower than previous shoes and a slow transition in them should be followed. I didn't necessarily follow this and after a few runs I developed a tight soleus in the calf. After a week off it eased a bit.

Pro's: light, responsive, comfortable

Cons: low drop; may be prone to injury if not careful

smooth but responsive
After almost 40 miles I can say that the new Gravity V is my favorite shoe for weekends long run. Very smooth, very comfortable. Wanna run a bit faster? No problem. With the 5 responsive lugs you are able to do some speed work.
I really enjoy this great shoe.
