The shoe and Natural Running work.
I'm 70, and have been working on Natural Running for the past 6 years (minus the last 3 years while recovering from cancer). This is my 3rd pair of Newton Running shoes.

The shoes arrived on Friday evening which was about 3 business days after they were ordered-regular delivery. I ran a 5 K race the next day, February 19th, for an age 70 PR of 26:46. My next run, two days later, was a 13 mile training run. (The shoe makes "Natural Running" nearly effortless.) Twelve days and one other 14 mile training run later, I've logged 49 problem less miles in 12 days. At 70, I tend to run every other day. The shoe's are working for me!!!

Check out the Newton Running website and YouTube training videos for helpful tips on Newton Running shoes and "Natural Running"--they work!!!

Brooks PureCadence replacements
I ran through eight pairs of Brooks PureCadence 3's. With the complete overhaul of the shoe in the 5 they really messed up something great. Compared to the PC3 the M5 is very simulator. I perfer how the fit of the heel feels in the PC3 but heel fit in the M5 is secure and comfortable. The PC3 are lighter but I believe the extra weight in the M5 is a result of the extra cushion felt in their ride. I have suffered from some overuse foot injuries in the past and I'm hopeful that the extra cushion in the M5 will help with the foot injuries. In this review you can substitute PC4 with the PC3; they were "same" shoe. The Porsche 911 hasn't changed since its inception in 1964. NEWTON learn from this and don't overhaul this shoe.

Great Newton
This is a great show. More stable and more support than the Distance, I am a heavier runner and really like the added support this shoe gives for my longer runs. Still feels very light and promotes the quick cadence that my other Newtons do.

Best Newton yet
Moved to the motion V after using the Distance for about 3 years. I like the more durable sole and new tongue design with better padding. A bit heavier than my Distance but they have become my go to shoe.

Motion V great right out of box
I received my new Motion V a week before a "b" race (half marathon). Ran a PB in this distance with my new shoes! Now, I'm not saying that the shoes were the reason I PR'd, but they didn't hurt my cause. They fit perfect to my size, hugged my heel perfectly, and were incredibly comfortable. The lugs (which I was skeptical about to be honest) felt natural and provided a solid mid foot contact point and a bounce to each stride. I am very pleased with the shoes and look forward to more miles as i train for Ironman Mont Tremblant! Thanks Newton Running!!

Newtons Deliver
I love Newton shoes! They deliver all I need to complete 2 marathons a year. I have tried two other brands, but they did not provide the comfort I need. Newtons deliver to the finish line.

That said, the shoes are so expensive that I have to wear them beyond their time. I would like to see some benefit for being a repeat customer.

Awesome shoe
I love these shoes! I have had many pairs of Newtons - they have all been awesome! Newtons have really helped my running by encouraging me to run on the balls of my feet not my heals! Keep them coming - the crazier the colors the better!

Switched from Brooks Addiction
Ultramarathoner with Type 1 diabetes. Gotta take care of my feet. Next big event is as officially-entered solo runner at 223-mile relay race. Switched from Brooks Addiction to Newton Motion. SO MUCH better. Wish I had known about Newton sooner. The zero-drop design is extremely comfortable even on 40 mile training runs. Took me no time at all to adapt to it. The forefront lugs actually do make a difference at pushoff and much to my surprise I really appreciate the cushioning effect of the extra rubber there too. To me, these shoes actually feel neutral, not like a stability shoe.

Amazing shoe
This is hands down the best shoe I have ever used for training and logging miles. The upper is comfortable and fits me like a plush sock. The sole is the perfect blend of flexibility, stability, and longevity that is needed for any training shoe you use for logging miles. However, don't think you can't race in this shoe - I've raced in this shoe several times.
