Amazing shoe however...
I have been running in this shoe for a little over a month and I loved it. The traction was great, nothing to complain about. It work well on track, road and light trails. The cushion used to be great. After breaking the shoe in, the cushioning felt very peppy and the lugs felt like spring under my feet. However, after a run on a light trail on a rainy day, the shoes were a little bit dirty, so I rinsed them off. Once they were clean, I allowed them to dry overnight. This is were I ran into some issues. I am uncertain on whether it was the rinse or some other unknown factor, but the cushioning lost all of it's life. The lugs now feel dead, and they lack the springy feeling that they had before. Now moving on to the upper; the materials used for the upper are durable, light, and breathable. This was my first time running in a Newton shoe and overall, I was very impressed with how fun it was to run in the Aha until I rinsed them.
-Pros: good traction, wide forefoot, breathable, cool colors, light weight
-Cons: the cushioning lost its pep

Best Shoe I Ever Bought
I'm a very experienced runner and if your looking to take your running ability to the next level I recommend this shoe. My first run with these on was a 5 miler averaging 5:52 per mile. I felt great and I felt like I had more power behind my stride than I ever have before. Despite the power though it still offers a very smooth ride.

My favorites
These were the best pair of shoes I've had in years. They convinced me to buy more Newtons. I tried Fate and the Distance III. I prefer the Aha. I bought a pair of Aha II and ran my last marathon in them, but don't like them as much as the original. I like the tongue, the straight band for the lace eyes, and the gray/blue color combo. Just ordered a "new" pair of Aha originals. but only the black ones were available.

Awesome!
The lightest shoe around. Great for walking, running and doing Crossfit. You can actually run in this shoe for Crossfit vs. the Reebok Nano or Nike Metcon.

Good trainer
Very good shoe overall. My second pair of Newtons-love em! Have about 100 miles on them so far- no significant wear or tears. Would definitely recommend.

Great Running Shoe
I run 4 miles a day in my Newton Aha and they are very never uncomfortable. I am a 65 year old male that has flat feet and under pronated runner.

Great Shoes
These are great running shoes but for me the original Kismet, even though the green color was not my favorite have been the best shoes of all, I own over 12 pairs of Newton and these are my second best ones.

Not for me. 200+
Tried the Aha after the BOCO didn't work. Very nice looking shoes. I am a Clydesdale trail runner. I live in Vail co. Sustained single track climbs, then sustained single track descent. Both shoes are fast, but just don't have the cushion I need. I get a tingling sensation on the balls of my feet in both shoes after more that a 30 minute run or hike. Shins also gel tight. I have tried rotating them into my runs but I feel the strain after the run. Love the company being from CO, I need more max cushion shoes.
