My feet have found heaven
I have been a die hard fan of another running shoe, but the last two revisions were miserable and caused me more problems than I care to mention (although the last version was a slight improvement). Out of desperation I went into the local running store lamenting my problem and some of the issues I was having with the ball of my left foot, a callus (almost a corn) just to the inside of the ball of my left foot and the fact that my runs just weren't as comfortable. They pulled out the Newtons. Told me that they might feel a little different because of the medial bridge, but that I wouldn't notice it after a few minutes. They sent me out on the sidewalk to run a few blocks in them and by about the 10th stride my feet thought that they were in heaven. The ball of my foot didn't bother me (it had been when I went in). The pressure point to the inside of the ball of my foot wasn't bothering me. I felt connected with my run and as if the shoe positions my foot perfectly for my running style and stride. These are well worth the price and definitely has made a convert out of me! It is worth every penny to come back from a 5 mile run and not have the ball of my foot irritated or have my feet hurting in general. The shoe weight is perfect for me as I find that I am not "dragging" my feet by about 4.5 miles (I tend to not pick up my feet as high and thus drag my toe every now and then because I am being "lazy" at the end of my run). This is an all around amazing shoe and I am so grateful that the running store had me try them!
