Built For The Bigger Athlete
The Excel is the result of years of work with Mark Schlereth and former professional athletes to make the ultimate athletic shoe for the bigger guy. Crafted from Newton’s acclaimed Gravity+ and enhanced with our most advanced Action Reaction Technology ™ system and next generation materials formulated specifically to handle an exponential increase in weight and force, it delivers a level of performance, comfort and durability that traditional shoes scaled up from a model size could never come close to approaching. If you are new to Newton or have concerns about width, we'd suggest trying a half size up to start.

What Makes The Excel Unique?

Enhanced Cushion
Our new NRG foam is an advanced large cell foam that delivers outstanding impact absorption and rebound compared to other foams. When combined with the XPS+ plate it generates an amazing amount of cushion and energy return with each stride.

Elevated Comfort
Built with a high volume toe box and wrapped in our Adaptative Fit mesh the seamless, breathable air mesh can accommodate a wide range of foot shapes with a plush, secure fit that maximizes comfort with every stride

Evolved Performance
The magic powering Newton Running shoes is the revolutionary Action/Reaction TechnologyTM . The only active technology in footwear, the lugs on the sole compress and rebound as you move through each stride, creating a responsive, trampoline-like cushioning system that maximize energy return with every stride.

What Our Runners Think
I'm 6'3" 200 lbs. I thought my Gravity shoes were the best until I tried the Excel. If you are on the bigger side, this is your shoe.
This is my 6th or so pair of Newtons and my first time trying the Excel model. I am 6’3” and 230lbs with a size 13 in regular shoes. I chose the 14 and everything feels great. On an equally important side note, their customer service has always been fantastic as well.
I’ve only worn these shoes for a few weeks but customer service has been hands down the best shoe company to work with. I’m 6’4” with normal size 13s but these fit smaller so exchanged both pairs quickly without any extra charge!
Thanks
