Newton Running Men's Distance

What Makes Newton Unique?

Men's Distance side view

Enhanced Cushion

The new midsole formulation of next gen NRG™ and Hytrel® foams combine to deliver outstanding impact absorption and rebound compared to other forms, while improving on the amazing responsiveness the Distance is most known for.

Elevated Comfort

The highly breathable open weave mesh is designed specifically to the anatomical structure of a man's foot to optimize the interaction between foot and shoe and make you more comfortable, secure, and positioned for the best possible performance.

Evolved Performance

The XPS plating system is an evolution to our Action Reaction Technology™, the secret sauce powering Newton. Generated by the active movement of the lugs in/out of the midsole, it creates a springy cushioning system that provides a quicker bounce back with less energy loss than typical running shoes.

Return to the brand.

Very light, true to size, not too small, modest rebound, runner’s knot improves rebound due to stiffening of the sole.

Keep getting better

I have been wearing Newton Distance for years. The shoes keep getting incrementally better. Super light and yet they last forever (well over 600 miles). Sizing is similar to other running shoes. Plenty of room in the ball of the foot and the toes.

Distance for the win again

These are my 7th pair of distance shoes and as expected, they are fast, comfortable and eye catching with the color schemes. Very happy with this edition of distance and look forward to see what Newton has up their sleeves for the next iteration. Highly recommend!

FRONT LUGS REALLY WORK TO DAMPEN IMPACT...GREAT TRAINER

this is one of the best training shoes i've ever worn, going back to the 1970s and everything in between then and now. when Newton first came out i decided to see if the front movable lugs were bs or worked. i immediately found they were for real. what i love is that they dampen impact, especially on the concrete and asphalt i run on, but they do so without the squishy cushioning almost all other shoes rely on. so you may not realize you're even running on an impact modifying sole, but you are, your legs and spine will realize there's less pounding. i'd be a minimal shoe runner if not for the cement i run on, so i need something more than just a flat sole. but i do need a flat sole...which the Distance comes close to with only 2mm drop. i do achieve my zero drop by putting a 2mm insole in the front part of the shoe (yes, i'd love Newton to make a zero drop version of this). in the end, being a minimal runner who only runs on concrete and asphalt, this is the only shoe i can wear, and i love it.
