What Our Runners Think
Great shoe. Takes some getting used to if you've never worn Newtons but so far I love them.
The 4lugs are the best
Just a little advice, you need to reinforce the footwear on the sides. The shoes always break there with the time…
My go to running shoe. Over 10 years now and won’t use any other brand.
Ran all iterations of the Elite since they came out; must have run through more than 10 pairs of them. Been on other brands' (super/carbon) shoes as well. While those shoes have their place, nothing beats the feeling in this original four-lug design! It is very light, but somehow it feels sufficiently cushioned (before you ask: I am a tall & heavy runner). I ran everything in them, from easy training runs, marathons and ultra-marathons, to a number of Ironman marathons. This shoe handles them all ("one shoe to rule them all" ...). Only, really minor thing - it is a road running shoe (for its lug construction) and less/not suited for trail/gravel. Please, Newton, never stop making this!
