What Our Runners Think
I'm a forefoot runner and this is my fourth pair of the Newton BOCO AT in as many years. They provide great traction, esp. on muddy hills going up as well as coming down w/the reverse tread on the heels gripping the path and preventing sliding, slipping, falling. Good foot protection against rocks and other jutting objects. They're comfortable shoes and very durable.
I have worked in Run Specialty since 2009 and I have worn A LOT of trail shoes. I can say with confidence the BOCO AT is my favorite and it is grossly underrated in the industry. Imho, from traction in dirt, mud and snow to the all weather upper to the fact that the lugs double as a rock plate, this shoe delivers! It's all thrills and no spills when off road. Newton, you should promote this shoe more. Highly Recommend!
I already had the BOCO 5 in the blue and think it's a fantastic shoe. I really liked the black BOCO 6 looks so they had me at hello. I have about 90 pairs of athletic shoes and the Newtons are at the top of my list. The BOCO 5 and 6 both feel like they were made special just for me. They're comfortable, attractive and wicked good on snow. This is a well designed shoe in every way. I'd call it a Jack of All Trades.
I ran in Newtons from 2010-2021. Switched to Hokas due to Newtons lack of trail shoe development, but have been injured for past year. So, back to Newtons🤷🏼♂️
Newton is the best shoe. If you have knee issues nothing will save your knees like Newtons
