What Makes Newton Unique?

Level Platform

Over time, many shoe designs have become thicker, softer and heavier with greater heel heights. In the spirit of making every stride better, Newton shoes feature lower heel to toe drops to put you in a more natural running position.

Action/Reaction Technology

The secret formula powering the speed of Newton Running shoes is its proprietary Action/Reaction Technology. Generated by the active movement of the lugs, it creates a responsive, trampoline-like cushioning system that provides quicker bounce-back and loses less energy than a traditional foam-core running shoe.

Full Foot Cushioning

If you love the responsive yet cushioned feel of the lugs in the forefoot, you'll be happy to find out the same technology exists in the heel. With Newton Running, you get full-foot cushioning and protection.

Still my favorite trail shoe.

My only suggestions would be to offer a stability model, and improve the water resistance if possible. Otherwise the BOCO is my favorite trail running shoe, and I've worn the previous model for 5 trail marathons in 5 weeks. So far these seem to be holding up just as well.

Love this shoe!

I had used the AT2 a few years back and it was "ok". I'm not sure what you did, but this shoe is awesome in all conditions. I live in Pennsylvania, and we have some of the rockiest trails out there and this shoe delivers on technical terrain. Comfortable too, might I add.

New To Trail Running

Just started trail running in the last 6 months to change up my training and I’m really loving the challenge and scenery of the trails in our area, so much so that I’ve been strictly trail running the last 2 months. After using several different pairs I finally bought the Boco AT 4 and honestly I didn’t think I could enjoy trail running any more then I already do, but with these shoes I feel more confident on dirt, gravel, rocks, snow and whatever else the trail wants to throw at me. Besides the obvious added stability and traction, the overall ride of the Boco AT 4 is super comfortable and I’m extremely happy with this shoe. I can’t wait for many more dirty miles with the Boco AT 4!

Best Newton Trail Shoe Yet

Thanks for this upgrade! With the addition of Newtonium full-foot cushioning, the BOCO AT 4 is a big improvement in comfort over the AT 3 and the BOCO Sol. The AT 4 also has a softer, more breathable upper. Yet this new addition keeps the advantages of its predecessors, including superior traction on sharp, wet rocks and in mud. Betting it will be a great winter running shoe as well. If you wear toe socks and/or like your toes to spread out, go up half a size.
