What Makes Newton Unique?

Advanced Innovation
Made with our signature Action Reaction Technology, and supercharged with even more Newtonium foam to enhance impact absorption and energy return, the new BOCO has a smooth firm ride that will keep you gliding down the trails.

Elevated Durable Fit
The new generation features a plush new insole, weatherized treatment, and a metatarsal stretch panel to maximize the comfort and versatility of the fit while you navigate nature's best.

Action/Reaction TechnologyTM
Grippy, multidirectional lugs with heel and toe bumpers to keep you foot well protected deliver an exceptionally versatile ride that finds a great balance between flexibility and rigidity to help you take on a wide range of terrain.

What Our Runners Think
I have taken these on both long rugged trail runs, and shorter less technical ones. They thrive on both. You really notice the firm construction of the back of the heel, as there is a piece that holds it in place nicely to keep the shoe on snugly while traversing uneven terrain. Yet, you still feel the signature Newton "pop". The multi-directional lugs work surprisingly well. While I have had a rubber piece of the sole come undone from some of the non-trail Newton models after taking them up in the trails, this has never happened with these. They're made for mother nature.
The Boca AT 6 shoes have a great design, they also possess a high quality construction. The shoes stood up to jagged rocks, sand and anything else that I encountered.
The shoes fit well. They are comfortable. I did replace the insoles with more cushioned ones. I have an odd large toe on one foot that wears through cloth toes on the left shoe, but that's my toes problem. I'd prefer a shoe that had a tougher toe covering. I still wish Newton would use round rather than flat laces. The flat laces tend to get snarled.
Great!
Tough, rugged, stable. Much lighter than expected.
