What Our Runners Think
I love running in my Newton's. When Asics changed the design of their toebox on the GT2000's, my feet couldn't take them. I bought three pairs of 2170's, and once those were toast it was time to find a new shoe. Durring the IM Arizona in 2014, where my wife was racing I bought my first Kismet's. They have been my go to shoe since. Let's hope they don't make any drastic changes to the shoe. So far, so good. Newton don't mess with perfection. :-)
I’ve been looking for something to replace my Brooks PureCadences for a while now and I wasn’t having any luck—ran through Saucony Kinvaras, Altra Escalantes, and a few others. Wound up hurting my feet, converting back to more of a heel-toe strike instead of a mid foot strike. Nothing felt even close to right. But the Kismet 6s have felt great so far. And the folks at Newton have been super helpful! Many thanks!
These shoes meet my needs for control of excessive foot pronation and subsequent use of orthotics, accommodation of a 1/4" heel lift (because of leg length discrepancy), and a wide toe box. They are light-weight and cushiony. I am very happy with these shoes.
Needed an upgrade to my running shoes a this is my first pair of Newton's. Loving them so far! Also ordered wrong size online and they made it easy to switch sizes. Thanks!
