What Makes Newton Unique?

BOCO AT 5 Shoe Lateral view

Level Platform

Over time, many shoe designs have become thicker, softer and heavier with greater heel heights. In the spirit of making every stride better, Newton shoes feature lower heel to toe drops to put you in a more natural running position.

Action/Reaction Technology

The secret formula powering the speed of Newton Running shoes is its proprietary Action/Reaction Technology. Generated by the active movement of the lugs, it creates a responsive, trampoline-like cushioning system that provides quicker bounce-back and loses less energy than a traditional foam-core running shoe.

Full Foot Cushioning

If you love the responsive yet cushioned feel of the lugs in the forefoot, you'll be happy to find out the same technology exists in the heel. With Newton Running, you get full-foot cushioning and protection.

Best trail runners yet

I love these shoes! I have tried a few different trail runners and these are by far, my favorites! They are light weight but have good support, cushioning, and grip.

I am a fairly new runner but my friend, who is very experienced, recommended Newtons to me. I will not go back to another brand.

Second pair and still great!

I’ve been wearing Newton’s for years and love the Boco for the trails. My last pair took me on a Run the Alps tour in the Swiss Alps and this new pair will be with me on my second Alps tour in France and Switzerland. Love the wide toe box, light weight and perfect fit.

Winter Running Win

The BOCO AT 5 is my first pair of trail running shoes. Wish I didn't wait so long to try them out. So far, they've been lifesavers for running in all the snow/ice we got this year. They give me great traction with their unique lugs (no more sliding around and no wipeouts so far!) They are also more weatherproof, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they're just as light on my feet as the road running shoes. I'm excited to try them out on some off-road trails this spring and summer.

Loved mine so much.

I purchased a pair of the men's Boca 5 several weeks ago. Loved mine so much I gave a pair to a friend. She thinks they're great.
