Soles Good For The Earth's Soul
Newton's next generation is crafted with a new formulation of extremely durable recycled materials and Ecopure™ to help reduce the amount of waste and plastics in our environment. An average shoe can take over 40 years to biodegrade, our Distance S 11 is specially treated to break down into nontoxic biomass & biogas up to 75% quicker in landfills while not compromising quality or performance in any way. Run these shoes into the ground, Mother Earth will thank you for it.

What Makes Newton Unique?

Advanced Innovation
From the laces to the sole, Newton is setting the standard for environmentally sustainable construction. Engineered to complement gender biomechanics, and powered with the only truly active technology in athletic footwear our shoes have never felt better on the foot, or on the run. You are unique and powerful, now you have the shoes to match.

Precision Fit
Designed specifically to the anatomical structure of a woman's foot, our gender tuned fit optimizes the interaction between foot and shoe to make you more comfortable, secure, and positioned for the best possible performance with every stride. And with the revolutionary new footbed to enhance cushioning and responsiveness you'll be traveling at light speed in unmatched comfort.

Action/Reaction TechnologyTM
The magic powering Newton Running shoes is the revolutionary full foot Action/Reaction TechnologyTM system. The lugs on the sole compress and rebound as you move through each stride, creating a responsive, trampoline-like cushioning system that provides greater impact absorption, quicker bounce-back, and less energy loss than traditional foam-core running shoes.

What Our Runners Think
Waiting until race day to lace up and break these in. I love racing in the Distance shoes and training in the Kismet. The Distance S 11 were so lightweight and reactive. There is a lot to say with durability of these shoes. Took a hard fall (was bumped into) and the shoes don't have even the slightest scuff. These shoes took me to 3rd in my age division in their first run/race. Highly recommend.
Got these for my wife after she saw my new ones. She walks more than runs, but has loved her BOCO AT’s for winter walking so thought she’d try the Distance S for summer walking. 1) Loves them! 2) Since “walking” the dog almost always becomes “running” the dog, she loves them even more. Now says they make her want to get back into running!
I’ve been wearing Newton’s for years. I love that they are lightweight, they have cushion and have padding on the toe for push off. I use them for triathlon training.
These shoes are FAST! I have been running in the distance for over 10 years and the 11s are 🔥. They are light and bouncy and make running fun! Newton colorways are the absolute best, and this girl is in love with her ruby reds!
I ran in Newtons for years before some time away and the Distance S 11 is my
first pair coming back. I’d be lying if I said the color wasn’t a big draw, these are easily the coolest shoes I’ve ever owned! My purpose for these was to come back to running and train for a half marathon. I’ve taken them on 2 runs in the gym so far and I really love the fit and feel. Right away I could feel my form lock in and every stride feels well balanced. I did chose the S as I do currently pronate, these are supportive enough to help but don’t feel too aggressive. I would say these fit pretty true to size, I’m usually a size 9 women’s and these fit well. The only drawback for me is the very “well ventilated” upper. I live in ND so they will have no issues when it’s dry, but might be a bit cold/wet if there’s adverse weather. Overall a really nice shoe, I would recommend others to give it a try.
