Love my Newtons!
I have already worn out one pair of Newton shoes working out and replaced them with another brand due to price. I had developed a painful knot on the bottom middle of my foot, not plantar fasciitis. It had to do with the connecting tendons of my toes to my heel. My doctor had told me he would have to send me to a foot specialist if it got worse. I decided to give Newton another try since the first pair was so good figuring the price would be what I would pay for a doctor visit. Within a week, the knot was gone! My feet are happy! These shoes are definitely worth the money!

Nice training shoe
I use my Fate II running shoes in my rotation for training, specifically my longer runs such as 10 and above.

Women's Fate II
I've worn nothing but the gravity IV's which I absolutely love but wanted to try something new. While I like the Fate, I will ultimately go back to the gravities because I prefer its tongue and the laces are longer which are better for my high instep. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

I liked the original Fate better
I loved, loved, loved my original pair of Newton Fates. When I saw the Fate II on sale, I thought they would be (hopefully) even better! I have been wearing them for about a month now, though, and they are not quite as good as my originals. This may be just the peculiarities of my own feet - maybe everyone else loves the II's even more than the original version! For me, the newer version doesn't feel as lightweight, and it also feels like the heel is built up a bit more, which seems to cause my feet to slide forward into the toe box, making my 8.5 feel just slightly too small. It's still a really comfy shoe, but I'll likely try another style for running and the Fate II will end up just being a walking-around shoe. I still adore Newton and think their products are far superior to almost every other running shoe out there ... but I wish I had bought a second pair of my original Fate shoes so I could wear them now that my old ones are worn out! Lesson learned: always buy two of anything you really love!!

Just what I was looking for
I was LONG overdue to replace my newtons and was unsure what to get. These seemed to be the best choice for someone like me who is getting back into running a bit. They do the job and I even noticed my calves weren't as sore as when I started running in my first pair of newtons. Definitely a believer in forefoot running. Took me a little to get the proper form so maybe that's why they're less painful after a run but I'm a fried and true newton fan for my running shoes. Also wore them to the gym for cross training/weight lifting and again these were better than my old pair of newtons. I am normally a size 10&1/2 for regular shoes, 11 for running/training shoes and I got the newtons in an 11&1/2. I've never worn 11&1/2 and was worried they'd be too big for sure but nope they fit great, just a touch too big in the toe box but I actually prefer it I don't want my toes crunched in I like to be able to splay them a little I think it mimics the foots natural function better with a little room in there. Would recommend for sure.
