Love my Newtons! The only running shoes I will wear!

TURNS OUT AFTER 10YRS USING, THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT FOR NEWTON

as an old thick heeled air run shoe on pavement, eventually because of my L4 L5 injury i needed to go minimal to reduce pounding. an hour on pavement was a very slow process to adjust my achilles/calves/feet, so i tried the Distance 7 or so as a transition. it was amazing, the lugs damping an amazing amount of the impact of concrete and asphalt for an hour. when i tried repeatedly to go to minimal shoes on pavement, i just couldn't take that kind of pounding, and was always happy to come back to the Distance, which had a near zero drop, and the non-mushed out response of the lugs to keep road feel like a minimal shoe. eventually i realized these were the only shoes i could run in (an hour on pavement with bulging discs) and am grateful that you make them. please never stop.
