Action/Reaction TechnologyTM
The magic powering Newton Running shoes is the revolutionary full foot Action/Reaction TechnologyTM system. The lugs on the sole compress and rebound as you move through each stride, creating a responsive, trampoline-like cushioning system that provides greater impact absorption, quicker bounce-back, and less energy loss than traditional foam-core running shoes.

What Our Runners Think
After a couple years (decades) of not running seriously, I picked it back up and went with Newtons based on a colleague’s recommendation. I dig em. They felt strange at first, but they provided all the support and comfort I needed to hit the pavement once again.
Loved all of the Fates except one year with the higher heel - it bug into my Achilles.

I ran in previous iterations of Fate shoes in the past and had success. Though my Fate 8's were a little disappointing and I sought out to try the "big foam" shoes out there. I tried Hoka Bondi 8's and Brooks Adrenaline's, and both were tough on my ankles and knees. As a heavier set person, I struggled in those shoes. So I came back to Newton when I saw the Fate 9's were out. I feel the performance and reaction when I run in them and structurally they seem to be built better than the 8's. I'm glad I came back to the 9's and away from the big foam shoes out there.
I’ve been running in Newtons for more than 10 years now, and absolutely love every pair I’ve ever had. I will never run in anything else!
