What Our Runners Think
Finally got the shoe that feels like barefoot running. Unbelievable to see the technology and minds behind it. Bravo the Newtonians I am totally game about this shoe. I am an avid Triathlete and been using men's distance for over 8 years now and got no complaints but Elite is the one that I shall be using from now on in the Ironman. For those who are looking for a wider shoe at the front (something that I have struggled with in the past with many other brands) Elite is the way to go. I am probably among handful of athletes who are using Newtons in the Middle East but all of us have only good to say about it. The only issue I have noticed is that Newtons are not the right shoes for track training. I am currently using my men's distance after repairing the pair and they seem OK but the mesh wont last for long I know it. will definitely order another Elite soon
I have lost count of the number of shoes I have ordered from Newton :). All I know that I am killing the roads here in Bahrian with my new Distance runner and Elite. The delivery guy from Aramex is out cant wait get my hands on m y bran new Elite pair. The only issue I see with Newtons is that they are not robust when it comes to track and fields sort of training or perhaps they are not designed for this type. The mesh at the front cannot cope up with a fast pace. As far as long distances and Triathlons are concerned I am totally hooked and do not even think about any other shoe. Newton is for Triple Threat HAAS
This is my 6th consecutive pair of Distance Elites. Only running shoe I've owned since approx 2012.
The Distance Elite is the best of all worlds for me. Lightweight, but by no means a dainty shoe. Good size toe box and shoe is very breathable, I never have trouble with sweaty feet. Arch is perfect. While the arch is barely noticeable, I've never felt a threat of plantar fasciitis like I do with so many other running shoes.
Thanks so much, please make these forever!
The elite is my favorite shoe in the Newton line up and I am happy that my new pair feel as great as the last. I prefer the 4 lug platform and the mesh upper keeps my feet cooler on those hot summer days.
