Great training shoes

Newton always delivers quality running shoes. I have been alternating between Distance 13 and Kimset 9, and both provide great performance and comfort—Kimsot 9 more for my recovery day and Distance 13 for long runs and speed workouts.

New Shoe on the Block

The Men’s Kismet 9 had a whole new feel to it, that took some time to adapt to. The ball of the foot is built up and you know it. After a week or so, it is unnoticeable. Glad I took the sales advice and ordered a half-size larger than usual. Even at that, it felt very tight. Again that 'feel' wears off and the shoe is now very comfortable. Give it some time and it will pay off as advertised.

Great cushioning

I was looking for a Newton trainer that had more cushion, and this is it. Pleased with this shoe.

I like them

The Kismet 9 has a great appearance but also a somewhat light and minimal feel. I’m new to Newton, so not sure what I expected but there is extra rubber padded sole under the ball of the foot with these shoes giving a somewhat spring to your step. Nothing earth shattering but surprising considering the relatively small amount of a cushioned feel or real padding. I battle plantar fasciitis and these have actually helped reduce pain and allowed me to continue to run. Worth a try and a more minimal shoe compared to other brands.
